I have been on the waiting list for years for an allotment. Today I paid a visit to where they are, in the hope of finding someone who may share. Most of them are very well used and I chatted with a couple of people there and they said I should try the council. On the way out I did notice that one of the allotments is not used at all, how can that be right? There are 52 people on the waiting list and an allotment is covered in grass doing nothing. 
I am going to ring the council tomorrow, not that it will get me anywhere.
