We did some more digging of the new veg patch yesterday but sadly have not finished. We still have a small bit to go, but we needed a break yesterday and to have some tea so stopped. My hands are a bit sore today but I really want to get on and do the last bit. Then I need to take all the rubble we have got out to the dump, that might take a few trips.
I have just noticed it is raining, I hope it does not last long.

I made a start on cutting my own conifer hedge and have decided that there's no reason why I can't do it a little at a time. It will take quite a while but it's good exercise - though I suffered with heat exhaustion yesterday!

It was my own stupid fault - I must learn to pace myself! It's all or nothing with me .... one minute I can't get motivated and the next minute I'm going at it hammer and tongs!

Pro I know what you mean, once you get going you just want to finish. I can understand that.

Just done 2 hours solid and it's starting to 'spit' a little so I guess it's time to have a break

Pro I have been out there and it is going well. Just stopped for lunch, almost forgot I was getting so carried away. Going back out now.

We had a drop of rain overnight .... much needed here, and if it's overnight, I don't mind at all

Pro It has been raining but I am going to go out and see what it is like. I did have gloves on but still it hurts!

Maybe the weather gods heard my moaning yesterday about potential drought and decided to teach me a lesson.
There are some very soothing gardners handcreams around, I like the one with goat's milk and rose oil, have you tried it?

Pro Oh yes I forgot about that so it is your fault!!! Never tried the cream you mention, I am going to do some stuff and later have a nice shower and put on lots of cream.
