It was a wet but busy day in the garden yesterday, not for me but for the birds! They were enjoying using the feeder facilities and had brought the family along. The woodpeckers seem to be here most of the time, I think the fledglings are being very lazy and coming to us rather than looking for food in the wild. It is quite funny to see them practice their pecking on all sorts of things in the garden.
A young fox was hanging around the back of the garden, behind the fence yesterday. I think it must have frightened the life out of one of the squirrels, the squirrel sat still in the tree for half an hour looking at the same spot on the ground. Very strange.
We should have dry weather today, which will make a very nice change.
